Who we represent

IAML – the International Association of Music Libraries, Archives and Documentation Centres – was established in 1952 and represents:

• Music libraries and librarians
• Music archives and archivists
• Music documentation centres
• Broadcasting authorities
• Music library users
• Musicians
• Orchestral, opera & theatre librarians
• Music trade

IAML (UK & Ireland) is a national Branch of the international association. Members of the Branch are either Personal (individual) or Institutional – library, archive, etc. There are two levels of membership that apply to both Personal and Institutional members: national, or international.
