Music Libraries Trust (MLT)
The Music Libraries Trust was established in 1982 by IAML(UK) after it became aware that music library staff were finding it difficult to obtain funding to carry out research or attend conferences.
It was originally called The Ermuli Trust (The Education and Research in Music Libraries Trust) before changing its name to The Music Libraries Trust in 1994.
The Trust currently funds grants for research into music librarianship or music bibliography and awards bursaries to enable people to attend the IAML (UK & Irl) Annual Study Weekend and the IAML Congress. Also, it jointly funds the annual E.T. Bryant Prize together with IAML (UK & Irl).
The Trust recently commissioned a survey of music libraries and their staff, details of which are published here
