Annual Study Weekend (ASW 2026) 24-26 April in Cardiff

This page will be updated as further information is made available.

The IAML Events and Training Committee are excited to put out a call for papers for the next ASW, taking place in Cardiff over the following three days: Friday 24th, Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th of April 2026.

Our theme this year will be “The Science of Sound”, but we are open to other proposals or interpretations as well. This could include, but is not limited to: music for wellbeing, collections in different formats, practical issues with projects involving sound or sound management, access to music or music resources, ways to look at music as learning tool etc.

Presentation slots are roughly 30- 45 minutes long. We would also love to hear for those with ideas they might like to share as a panel discussion.

In addition, we are also keen to hear from anyone wanting to offer service updates or new projects relating to their library in the News and Update sections. These can be up to 10 minutes long.

Please send any proposals or notes of interest around News & Updates to Lee.Noon@leeds.gov.uk and Laura.Johnson@lcm.ac.uk

Deadline for speaker proposals Friday 31st October 2025.
