Did you know that every time music is publicly played or a copy is made, royalties are generated? If you’ve ever wanted to know how to receive songwriting royalties for live shows or radio plays, or are confused about the difference between PRS, MCPS and PPL, then help is at hand.
PRS for Music represents the rights of over 160,000 songwriters, composers and music publishers in the UK and around the world. As a membership organisation it works to ensure that creators are paid whenever their musical compositions and songs are streamed, downloaded, broadcast, performed and played in public.
If you write your own songs or music, or co-write with others and your music is being regularly performed, then you should consider joining PRS and you could earn money from your music.
PRS for Music’s Daniel Jones will be here to discuss everything you need to know about PRS and MCPS, the different sources of royalties songwriters and composers can earn from, and funding opportunities on offer for independent artists.
Please follow this link to register. You will receive an automated zoom invite prior to the session.
