Who we represent

IAML – the International Association of Music Libraries, Archives and Documentation Centres – was established in 1952 and represents:

• Music libraries and librarians
• Music archives and archivists
• Music documentation centres
• Broadcasting authorities
• Music library users
• Musicians
• Orchestral, opera & theatre librarians
• Music trade

IAML (UK & Ireland) is a national Branch of the international association and represents members in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. There are four categories of Branch membership:

• Personal national – for individuals
• Personal international – for individuals
• Institutional national – for libraries, archives, etc.
• Institutional international – for libraries, archives, etc.
